We're a unique community-based platform for listing and booking venues and events managed by New York City's most experienced and diversely skilled event professionals. Our team combines 15+ years of work history in venue management and operation.

What happens when I request a booking?

When a booking request is sent, the host is notified and has up to two days to respond. If the host confirms your booking, congratulations – you're all set! The host may update the request with add on services, discounts, etc. If you receive a counter offer, you can accept, decline, ask questions, or update the details to send another request.

What cancellation policy does Venues NYC use?

Hosts can choose between five policies – four standard policies and one customizable non-refundable deposit policy. The cancellation policy can be found on the venue listing. If you have any questions, you can contact the host with the "Send Inquiry" button.

Question 4

How are payments handled?

Accepted Answer

Venues NYC uses Stripe to securely collect payment information when the booking request is sent. You can pay with a credit card or debit card. The payment will not be processed until the request is confirmed. Payments are released when the event is completed.

Question 5

How do I communicate with the host?

Accepted Answer

Venues NYC provides messaging through our "Send Inquiry" feature found on the listing page. You can use this to ask questions and add details about the request. The host will respond to your questions and can even make a custom offer for you.

Question 6

I need to change my booking request details.

Accepted Answer

Venues NYC makes this easy. While the request is still pending, look for the "Update" button on the booking page. You can update the details and the host will be notified. Once the booking is confirmed, all details are binding.

Question 7

Can I turn my inquiry into a booking request?

Accepted Answer

You can always upgrade your inquiry to a booking request by adding payment details. The host will then have two days to confirm your request. If you received a custom offer while inquiring, you can accept it immediately by adding payment information.
